This paper presents a detailed explanation about two results successfully achieved by applying pluralistic approaches with 41 Brazilian middle-school students (6th grade) from disadvantaged backgrounds. Throughout the academic year, students brought several questions that were noted in a proper file. Analyzing these questions, it is observed that the didactic proposal, based on pluralistic approaches, contributed to the awakening and strengthening of students' positive attitudes towards linguistic and cultural diversity. Based on FREPA descriptors, this paper shows how the 44 questions noted by students are indicative signs of interest, curiosity, valorization and openness of pre-adolescents to the languages of the world. The relevance of this type of pedagogical practice in the Brazilian educational context is also discussed.
