Abstract

MELO, Tatiana de  and  ABREU, Elisa Melo. Primary Breast Lymphoma - Case Report. Acta Radiol Port [online]. 2022, vol.34, n.1, pp.25-27.  Epub Apr 29, 2022. ISSN 2183-1351.  https://doi.org/10.25748/arp.25610.

Breast lymphoma is an uncommon disease and a defying diagnose to stablish, both clinically and radiologically. It can be mammographic and sonographically indistinguishable from other breast lesions, both malignant and benign. There are, however, some features that, in conjunction, may suggest this diagnose. We present a clinical case of a primary breast lymphoma as a starting point to review the most common clinical and imagiological findings of this disease. Since histologically features are relevant to understand and explain the imaging findings, we also exploit the radiologic-pathologic correlation in breast lymphoma. Both staging and treatment of breast lymphoma are very different from other neoplastic breast lesions, so we also emphasize these points. Even though the final diagnose relies on biopsy, it is important to bear in mind the clinical and imaging characteristics that should prompt the diagnose of breast lymphoma, to best evaluate these patients.
