Abstract

NEIVA, Filipa. Organizational Communication: the importance of Internal Communication. Media & Jornalismo [online]. 2018, vol.18, n.33, pp.61-73. ISSN 1645-5681.

The importance of organizations is acknowledged by everyone: the solidity of a company, the brand it represents, its weight in the sector and its relevance for society. On the other side of the equation stand the intermediates for that success, the ones who are indispensable for the growth and the operations of any organization. By defending its integration with human resource management and communication management, this article covers some concepts of organization communication and the importance of its strategy for a more solid company, a more active brand and more motivated workers who are immersed in the spirit of their work. After reading several reference authors on these issues, and so as to comprehend the origin and importance of this communication strand, the strategic perspective was analyzed, leading to the concept of internal communication, essential to the growth of companies and local communities.

Keywords : Organizational communication; internal communication; organizational culture; corporative responsibility; integrated communication.
