This text seeks to insert studies of journalistic genres and formats within the scope of cyber journalism practiced in the Brazilian Countryside of São Paulo. The research question that guides it is "what proportions between journalistic genres and formats do the online versions of newspapers in Countryside of São Paulo present?". Supporting in a bibliographic review and quantitative empirical analysis of 569 contents published by the online versions of Jornal da Cidade (Bauru), Cruzeiro do Sul (Sorocaba) and Correio Popular (Campinas), and captured in three days of a "built week", the research aims to better understand the specifics of the patterns and textual models of cyber newspapers in the Countryside of São Pauo, as well as the journalistic practices in these territories. For this, it uses the proposal brought by Marques de Melo and Assis (2016) and concepts about local journalism and proximity cyber journalism. It is considered that the cases studied seek to reproduce aspects and practices of the national press, with a predominance for the informative genre and formats of news and notes, in addition to showing difficulties in establishing strong ties of proximity with their localities.
