Abstract

The article analyzes the special of four video reports called The Daily 360: Genocide Legacy, published in April 2017 by the New York Times. In short video reports, the meaning is produced through a 360-degree immersion of the viewer, who accesses the places of the event and listens to the testimonies. The analysis was based on the qualitative method of content analysis, and categories and subcategories were developed according to the content. The 360-degree reports allow the democratization of places of memory and the approximation with the historical event. Moreover, it illustrates the configuration of distinct formats of memory transmission through the restructuring of new journalistic languages.
