In the last decades, coaching has become one of the best strategies for the developement of skills. More recently, its application to the field of Nutrition Sciences has gained increasing relevance. This paper aims to present coaching as a methodology apllicable to the Nutrition Sciences, its interveners’ skills, a specific model to this field, and to define the structuring concepts of the process and its evidence in Nutrition Sciences. We also intend to develop a critical view towards the use of this methodology in this context, in particular in a national perspective.
