This paper analyzes the sustainable development goal n. 8, from the perspective of decent work as a guarantee of sustainable economic development. The nature and effects of this challenge on society, protected by the 2030 Agenda, are analyzed. Its relationship with other sustainable development goals is also taken into account from the cross-cutting and interdisciplinary nature of said goals. It is an approach to economic development with social sensitivity, linking the defense of decent work with international fundamental rights, especially equality and social justice.
