The Vanguard Music situation in conservatories and its Musical teachings had been developed by education laws and repertoire based on Baroque, Classical and 19th Century works whose purpose was "to preserve" certain styles. The programming was in need of updating to include a more modern catalogue.

Thanks to these questionnaires, mixing qualitative and quantitative methodologies, the objective of this research is know the Clarinet teachers and pupils´ points of view about vanguard Music possibilities inside a Professional Music Conservatory. The aspects analyzed in this article, describes teacher´s profile, their academic training, formation, and application in the classroom of this kind of Music and musical academic development.

Composers could be inspired to create works or compositions to be included in teaching Clarinet programming.

The results show the general teachers and pupils situation, taking part in concerts (as performer or public), musical preferences between them and musical methodologies used in this education.

This research could be further explored in the future by teachers who taught in Primary, Secondary, or Music Schools.
