Abstract

PAIS, José Pedro et al. Dilemmas of Chronic Sclerosing Sialadenitis: A Case Report and Literature Review. Gaz Med [online]. 2023, vol.10, n.4, pp.321-326.  Epub Dec 29, 2023. ISSN 2183-8135.  https://doi.org/10.29315/gm.v1i1.585.

We report a case of chronic sclerosing sialoadenitis focusing on clinical, laboratory and histological aspects and perform a review of literature with discussion of multidisciplinary clinical approach to this pathology. Chronic sclerosing sialoadenitis is an uncommon, chronic inflammatory disease that has been recently included in the IgG4-associated diseases spectrum. This pathology simulates cervical neoplastic pathology, and its definitive diagnosis is difficult. Its etiology, treatment and evolution remain topics of scientific debate.
