Abstract

MARTINS, Iris Santos  and  DIAS, Rui Pinheiro. Behçet’s Disease in Primary Health Care: A Difficult Diagnosis in a 10-Minute Consultation. Gaz Med [online]. 2023, vol.10, n.4, pp.340-343.  Epub Dec 29, 2023. ISSN 2183-8135.  https://doi.org/10.29315/gm.v1i1.627.

Behçet's disease is a rare autoimmune disease that can affect all blood vessels, and is therefore considered a panvasculitis. It is characterized by recurrent aphthous stomatitis, genital aphthosis and systemic manifestations that may affect the skin, central nervous system, eye, joints, digestive system and vascular system. Manifestations such as erythema nodosum, arthritis, uveitis, digestive ulcers or vascular aneurysms are frequent. In this article, a patient goes to a patient with Behçet's disease, who reports to the consultation of an acute situation, a diagnosis that meets the limited time of consultation and the complexity of his disease, constituting a challenge for us.
