Resumen

PINHO, Joana et al. Application of the dynamic model of assessment and famil intervention to continuous care. RIIS [online]. 2022, vol.5, n.2, pp.9-19.  Epub 31-Dic-2022. ISSN 2184-1578.  https://doi.org/10.37914/riis.v5i2.182.

Background:

the Dynamic Model Assessment and Family Intervention (MDAIF) refers to the relationship between family members that evolve in a reciprocal interaction (Figueiredo, 2012). Dynamic and flexible, it allows the mobilization of its components at the different levels of the nurse's performance.

Objectives:

identify diagnoses and interventions aimed at the family, in order to obtain health gains for the person, with the family as a care partner.

Methodology:

case study, in the context of continued care, with the MDAIF as the theoretical and operational framework. For data collection, documentary analysis of the clinical process records and interviews were carried out with the inpatient, daughter and son-in-law. All ethical principles were considered.

Results:

it was identified as a diagnosis that required intervention: Dysfunctional Family Process, manifested by Ineffective Family Communication, in the context of Emotional Communication. The technique of systemic family intervention was used - narrative approaches as an action that materializes the intervention "Promoting the expressive communication of emotions". The construction of a new narrative transformed the lack of motivation for rehabilitation into an increase in the potential for adherence, with an evolution in dependence from a moderate to a mild degree.

Conclusion:

the MDAIF can be applied targeting the person and the family as a context.
