DE MOURA, Renata  e  EVANGELISTA, Ivone. Nurses in the Qualitative Evaluation of the Short Film “Nossas Histórias” about Disclosing the HIV Condition to the Child. NTQR [online]. 2021, vol.8, pp.582-590.  Epub 29-Nov-2021. ISSN 2184-7770.  https://doi.org/10.36367/ntqr.8.2021.582-590.

Introduction: Educational video has been produced in the field of health promotion in different countries to disseminate health information and contribute to foster dialogue on health and disease processes. The literature on video production and validation in health uses, for the most part, a quantitative approach. Therefore, the short film "Nossas Histórias" was produced from empirical narratives of nurses and family members who participated in the disclosure of HIV to HIV-positive children. Goals: to evaluate the short film “Nossas Histórias”, about the preparation of families for the disclosure of HIV-positive children, by male and female nurses. Methods: Qualitative study for the assessment of technological innovation implemented with the Wheel Method, provides collective meeting spaces and group dialogues where participants value their knowledge in the creation of collective change strategies. It was developed with 12 nurses in Rio de Janeiro. The data produced were subjected to content analysis by Minayo Results: After the analysis of the textual corpus of the material produced by the nurses in the evaluation of the short film, five themes emerged: the set of the short film tool, scenario, script content and audience- target, inseparability between characters and content and inseparability between character and technique. Conclusions: The short film “Nossas Histórias” is an innovative resource with the potential to be applied in the clinical field of advocacy care by nurses in the nursing consultation environment. His production was structured based on the ontological, methodological and epistemological dimensions of knowledge generation in an audiovisual language that translated his own (from families) and scientific knowledge. However, it is still necessary to make adjustments so that the short film is appropriate to the reality of nurses.
