ZIEDE, Mariangela Kraemer Lenz et al. Distance Education: Training Course for Tutors and Supervisors for Technical Courses in Health in Brazil. NTQR [online]. 2023, vol.17, e859.  Epub 01-Dic-2023. ISSN 2184-7770.  https://doi.org/10.36367/ntqr.17.2023.e859.

Distance education is a teaching and learning modality that enables the training of students in different spaces and times. Introduction: In this perspective, the training course for supervisors and tutors is presented, carried out in the distance mode in the virtual learning environment Moodle, at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. The course has the duration of 10 modules, each module lasting 30 days. The research participants carry out the theoretical part in Moodle and the practical part in a course aimed at health workers which takes place throughout the national territory. Objective: To analyze the perception of course participants about their learning in the training course for supervisors and tutors in the distance modality. Method: It is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach of thematic analysis. Data collection was carried out from the online COLLES questionnaire (Constructivist Online Learning Environment Survey) applied in the fifth module, to guide possible reconstructions of activities until the end of the course. Results: A total of 4190 responses were obtained from 4400 participants, of which 639 participants also responded to an open question that requested comments about the training course. In the thematic textual analysis, two categories were listed: learning and continuing education in health. Conclusion: The training course enabled several learning opportunities, among which it improved the quality of mediation and feedback processes in the forums and proposed activities. Distance learning often presents itself as a challenge, but gradually tutors and supervisors have made progress in overcoming these challenges, whether through the support of the Course teams, through greater knowledge of the reality in which they are inserted and the needs of the students, through the analysis of the results of the proposals in action or even through this combination of factors.
