Hereby the triad proposed for reflection - politics, arts and territory - manifests itself as a logical and possible chain of a desirable and attainable cultural democratization. From the Island to the World thus establishes the territorial circumstantiality and reflection of this article. An unfinished example of this political, artistic and cultural performance is the Festival Walk e Talk Anda e Fala, which has been taking place since 2011 in the city of Ponta Delgada, Azores, and which not only provided the motto and choice for the cover of this special issue of the journal, but also for which this text is just a simple contribution, for some political and cultural reflection on the assumptions, circumstances and some political consequences of this type of events and cultural projects.
