Infra-estruturas de suporte ao comércio electrónico entre empresas: mercados electrónicos

Resumo. É amplamente reconhecido que a Internet é hoje o principal pilar do comercio electrónico, sendo os mercados electrónicos uma infraestrutura de suporte ao comércio electrónico entre empresas capaz de alterar a forma de relacionamento entre clientes e fornecedores ou entre parceiros de negócios. Esta lição pretende enquadrar o aparecimento dos mercados electrónicos, sensi-bilizando para o contexto económico em que estes surgem, apresentar as suas características e funcionalidades, bem como dar a conhecer o potencial que a sua utilização representa para as organizações.

Abstract. It is widely known that the Internet is today the main pillar of electronic commerce, being the electronic marketplaces an infrastructure to support electronic commerce between organizations able to alter the relationship between clients and suppliers or among business partners. This lesson intends to present the electronic marketplaces emergence, sensitizing to the economic context in which they appear, introducing its characteristics and functionalities as well as the potential that its utilization represents to organizations.
