Sociologia’s main goal is promoting sociology in Portugal, understood both as systematic knowledge of social realities and as professional and social practice. It has sought to stimulate dialogue between those who produce scientific work within the University and sociologists who deal with a diverse range of activities in wider society, without forgetting all those who require a systematized knowledge of Portuguese social reality.
