Em particular, a análise longitudinal da escolarização e da escolaridade permite reconstituir a história de coortes escolares e, desse modo, contribuir para um conhecimento mais fundamentado do desempenho e do insucesso escolares. Este texto apresenta propostas metodológicas no âmbito da demografia escolar, as quais são exemplificadas com a reconstituição da escolarização da geração de 1981 e da escolaridade da promoção de alunos matriculados em 1993-1994 no 7.º ano de escolaridade.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[S’agissant, pour l’essentiel, de phénomènes similaires aux phénomènes démographiques, les phénomènes scolaires peuvent et doivent être étudiés par des techniques identiques à celles de l’analyse démographique. L’analyse longitudinale de la scolarisation et de la scolarité permet, en particulier, de reconstituer l’histoire des cohortes scolaires, ce qui contribue à une connaissance mieux fondée de la performance et de l’échec scolaires. Ce texte avance des propositions méthodologiques dans le cadre de la démographie scolaire, exemplifiées par la reconstitution de la scolarisation de la génération de 1981 et de la scolarité de la promotion des élèves immatriculés en 1993-1994 à la 7ème année de scolarité.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[School education phenomena are essentially similar to demographic phenomena. They should and must be studied using the demographic studies techniques. In particular, longitudinal analysis of schooling enables us to reconstruct the history of educational cohorts and thereby make a betterfounded contribution to knowledge of educational performance and failure. This article puts forwards methodologies for educational demography, using as examples school matriculations for the generation of 1981 and schooling data for the cohorts matriculated in the seventh year of the school system in 1993-1994.]]></p></abstract>

Em particular,    a an&aacute;lise longitudinal da escolariza&ccedil;&atilde;o e da escolaridade    permite reconstituir a hist&oacute;ria de coortes escolares e, desse modo, contribuir    para um conhecimento mais fundamentado do desempenho e do insucesso escolares.
