Pour cet étude, implanté sur un Fluvisol Calcarique (FLc), on a choisi seulement des modalités en taille courte, c&#8217;est à dire, le cordon unilatéral avec des écartements sur la ligne de 0.8 et de 1 m (respectivement, 5 000 et 4 000 ceps/ha) et le cordon bilatéral à 1.2 m d&#8217;écartement (3 333 ceps/ha). Malgré la grande fourchette de rendements obtenus en 1998, sur ce cépage, les résultats montrent que l&#8217;augmentation de la production de raisins n&#8217;exerce pas des effets négatifs sur la teneur en sucre et sur la teneur en acidité totale des moûts. Une explication pour ses résultats peut être basée dans les caractéristiques propres de ce cépage, notamment, sur sa précocité de maturation et son haut potentiel en sucre.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Com base num ensaio de sistemas de condução em monoplano ascendente, estabelecido em Dois Portos em 1992, estudou-se a relação rendimento-qualidade na casta Fernão Pires (B). Para este estudo, implantado em Fluvissolo Calcáreo (FLc), escolheu-se somente modalidades em poda curta, isto é, o cordão unilateral com espaçamentos sobre a linha de 0,8 e de 1 m (respectivamente, 5.000 e 4.000 cepas/ha) e o cordão bilateral a 1,2 m de espaçamento ( 3.333 cepas/ha). Apesar da grande diferença de rendimentos obtidos em 1998, nesta casta, os resultados mostram que o aumento da produção de uva não exerce efeitos negativos sobre o teor em açúcar e sobre o teor em acidez total dos mostos. Uma explicação para estes resultados pode ser baseada nas características próprias da casta, principalmente, sobre a sua precocidade de maturação e o seu alto potencial em açúcar.]]></p></abstract>

Only modalities of short pruning were selected for this study, established on a Calcaric Fluvisol (FLc). Those were an unilateral cordon with vines spaced 0,8 and 1 m in rows (5,000 and 4,000 vines/ha) and a bilateral cordon with vines spaced 1,2 m in rows ( 3,333 vines/ha). In spite of yields great difference in 1998, the results showed that the sugar content and the total acidity content of musts were not negatively affected by the grape production increasing. The specific characteristics of this cultivar, mainly it early maturation and its sugar high potential, could provide an explanation to these results.]]></p></abstract>
