El índice utiliza nueve parámetros ordenados en tres grupos: 1) calidad funcional del sistema, 2) calidad del cauce, y 3) calidad de las riberas. El objetivo de este trabajo es conocer y valorar la calidad hidrogeomorfológica del arroyo San Bernardo (Sistema de Ventania, Argentina) utilizando la metodología del IHG. Su aplicación en la cuenca dio como resultado una valoración hidrogeomorfológica &#8220;muy buena&#8221; en el tramo de la cuenca media-alta y &#8220;buena&#8221; en el tramo de la cuenca baja, más antropizado. Esto permite esbozar como primera conclusión la importancia de realizar intervenciones en el espacio fluvial que no interfieran con la naturalidad del territorio fluvial, aspecto clave para la gestión de la cuenca.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O Índice Hidrogeomorfológico (IHG) é uma ferramenta de avaliação de indicadores hidromorfológicos cujo objetivo final é determinar o estado ecológico dos sistemas fluviais, sendo importante para a sua conservação e proteção. O índice recorre a nove parâmetros dispostos em três grupos: 1) qualidade funcional do sistema, 2) qualidade do leito do rio, e 3) qualidade das margens. O objetivo deste trabalho é conhecer e avaliar a qualidade hidrogeomorfológica do córrego San Bernardo (Sistema de Ventania, Argentina) utilizando a metodologia IHG. A sua aplicação na bacia resultou numa avaliação hidrogeomorfológica &#8220;muito boa&#8221; no troço médio-alto da bacia e &#8220;boa&#8221; no seu troço inferior, onde se faz sentir maior ação humana. Isto permite delinear como primeira conclusão a importância da realização de intervenções na área do rio que não interfiram na naturalidade do território fluvial, aspeto fundamental para a gestão da bacia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The Hydrogeomorphological Index (IHG) is a tool for the assessment of hydromorphological indicators whose ultimate purpose is to determine the ecological status of river systems, important to conserve in order to protect the river ecosystem. The index uses nine parameters arranged in three groups: 1) functional quality of the system, 2) quality of the channel, and 3) riparian quality. The aim of this paper is to know and assess the hydrogeomorphological quality of the San Bernardo stream (Ventania System, Argentina) using the IHG methodology. Its application in the basin resulted in a &#8220;very good&#8221; hydrogeomorphological evaluation in the middle-upper section of the basin and &#8220;good&#8221; in the lower section of the basin, which is more anthropized. This allows us to outline as a first conclusion the importance of carrying out interventions in the river space that do not interfere with the naturalness of the river territory, a key aspect for the management of the basin.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé L&#8217;Indice Hydrogéomorphologique (IHG) est un outil d&#8217;évaluation d&#8217;indicateurs hydromorphologiques dont le but dernier est de déterminer l&#8217;état écologique des systèmes fluviaux, lequel est important de conserver pour protéger l&#8217;écosystème fluvial. L&#8217;indice utilise neuf paramètres répartis en trois groupes: 1) qualité fonctionnelle du système, 2) qualité du chenal, et 3) qualité des berges. L&#8217;objectif de ce travail est de connaître et évaluer la qualité hydrogéomorphologique de la rivière San Bernardo (Sistema de ventania, Argentine) en utilisant la méthodologie IHG. Son application dans le bassin versant a permis une &#8220;très bonne&#8221; évaluation hydrogéomorphologique dans la section moyenne-supérieure du bassin et &#8220;bonne&#8221; dans la section inférieure du bassin, plus anthropisé. Ceci permet de conclure, en premier sur l&#8217;importance de réaliser des interventions dans l&#8217;espace fluvial qui n&#8217;interfèrent pas avec la naturalité du territoire fluvial, un aspect clé pour la gestion du bassin versant.]]></p></abstract>
