La región de estudio se ubica en el sector inferior de la cuenca del Río Negro (Argentina). La zonificación del área de estudio, según su susceptibilidad ante inundaciones, es resultado de una Evaluación Multicriterio (EMC) la cual se realiza mediante la suma ponderada de variables y sobre la base de criterios publicados en la bibliografía nacional e internacional. Las variables físicas analizadas fueron: máxima extensión de agua, cobertura, orden, drenaje y textura del suelo, pendiente topográfica y geomorfología del área. Estas fueron integradas en un Sistema de Información Geográfica (SIG). Los datos utilizados corresponden a las bases de datos del Instituto Geográfico Nacional de la República Argentina (IGN), Instituto Nacional de Tecnología Agropecuaria (INTA) y de bases de datos previamente publicadas. Los resultados categorizan un 46,7% (1 321,6km2) de territorio estudiado con susceptibilidad baja o media. La ciudad de Viedma y las localidades Zanjón de Oyuela, La Boca y Primera Angostura corresponden a zonas altamente susceptibles a inundarse. Se determinó que la ocurrencia de inundaciones es mayor en áreas de pendientes topográficas de 1% y con drenaje del suelo deficiente. Los resultados fueron corroborados con eventos históricos de inundación en el área]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo O objetivo deste artigo é estimar a suscetibilidade a inundações por transbordo de rios, tendo em consideração as condições meteorológicas médias, com base no estudo de variáveis geomorfológicas, hidrográficas e edáficas. A região de estudo está localizada no setor inferior da bacia do Rio Negro (Argentina). O zonamento da área de estudo, de acordo com a sua suscetibilidade a inundações, é o resultado de uma Avaliação Multicritério (MCE) realizada através da soma ponderada das variáveis e baseada em critérios publicados na bibliografia nacional e internacional. As variáveis físicas analisadas foram: extensão máxima da água, cobertura, ordem, drenagem e textura do solo, declive topográfico e geomorfologia da área. Estas foram integradas num Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG). Os dados utilizados correspondem às bases de dados do Instituto Geográfico Nacional da República Argentina (IGN), do Instituto Nacional de Tecnologia Agropecuária (INTA) e de bases de dados previamente publicadas. Os resultados categorizam 46,7% (1 321,6km2) do território estudado com baixa ou média suscetibilidade. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The objective of the article is to estimate the susceptibility to flooding due to river overflow, taking into account average meteorological conditions, based on the study of geomorphological, hydrographic and edaphic variables. The study region is located in the lower section of the Río Negro basin (Argentina). The zoning of the study area, according to its susceptibility to flooding, is the result of a Multicriteria Evaluation (MCE), which is carried out using the weighted sum of variables and based on criteria published in the national and international bibliography. The physical variables analyzed were maximum water extension, land cover, order, drainage and soil texture, topographic slope and geomorphology of the area. These are integrated into a Geographic Information System (GIS). The data used correspond to the databases of the National Geographic Institute of the Argentine Republic (IGN), the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) and previously published databases. The results categorize 46,7% (1 321,6km2) of the studied territory with low or medium susceptibility. The city of Viedma and the towns of Zanjón de Oyuela, La Boca and Primera Angostura correspond to areas highly susceptible to flooding. It was determined that the occurrence of floods is more significant in areas with topographic slopes of 1% and poor soil drainage. <abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé L&#8217;objectif de cet article est d&#8217;estimer la susceptibilité aux inondations dues au débordement des rivières, en tenant compte des conditions météorologiques moyennes, à partir de l&#8217;étude de variables géomorphologiques, hydrographiques et édaphiques. La région d&#8217;étude est située dans le secteur inférieur du bassin du Río Negro (Argentine). Le zonage de l&#8217;aire d&#8217;étude, en fonction de sa sensibilité aux inondations, est le résultat d&#8217;une Évaluation Multicritères (MCE) réalisée au moyen de la somme pondérée des variables et basée sur des critères publiés dans la bibliographie nationale et internationale. Les variables physiques analysées étaient: l&#8217;extension maximale de l&#8217;eau, la couverture, l&#8217;ordre, le drainage et la texture du sol, la pente topographique et la Géomorphologie de l&#8217;aire d&#8217;étude. Ces variables sont intégrées dans un Système d&#8217;Information géographique (SIG). Les données utilisées correspondent aux bases de données de l&#8217;Institut Géographique National de la République Argentine (IGN), de l&#8217;Institut National de Technologie Agricole (INTA) et aux bases de données précédemment publiées.
