A questão da maternidade é também uma das matrizes do imaginário de Teresa Veiga, cuja presença pode ser rastreada desde a primeira coletânea de contos até ao último livro. Ao mesmo tempo, é pertinente observar que não se trata de uma imagem fixa na obra veiguiana, mas, pelo contrário, de uma constelação de imagens rica em variedade e matizes axiológicos (p. ex. tópicos da mãe ausente / rival / alienada / suicidária / imaginária / protetora etc.). Neste contexto, é precisamente a figura da mãe (hiper)protetora, relevante no conto &#8220;As Parcas&#8221; (Uma aventura secreta do marquês de Bradomín, 2008/2015), que constitui o foco da presente análise. No centro da atenção encontra-se a relação problemática entre mãe e filha, ensombrada pelo simbolismo das Parcas. A análise deste duplo relacionamento baseia-se nas estruturas arquetípicas desenvolvidas por Carl Gustav Jung, aqui se revelando tanto a vertente simbólico-mitológica, como a sua subversão fantasmática.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The archetype of the mother, detected in various myths of not only Indo-European origin, is a constant in the literature of all times. The question of motherhood is also one of the matrices of Teresa Veiga&#700;s imagination, whose presence can be traced from her first collection of short stories to her last book. At the same time, it is important to note that this is not a fixed image in Veiga&#700;s work, but rather a constellation of images rich in variety and axiological nuances (e.g. topics of the absent / rival / alienated / suicidal / imaginary / protective mother, etc.). In this context, it is precisely the figure of the (hyper) protective mother, relevant in the short story &#8220;As Parcas&#8221; (Uma aventura secreta do marquês de Bradomín, 2008/2015), that is the focus of this analysis. At the centre of attention is the problematic relationship between mother and daughter, overshadowed by the symbolism of the Parcas. The analysis of this dual relationship is based on the archetypal structures developed by Carl Gustav Jung and aims to highlight the symbolic-mythological aspect of motherhood, as well as its phantasmatic subversion.]]></p></abstract>
