Em estimativas da biomassa das árvores é importante que se verifique a propriedade da aditividade das suas componentes. Neste trabalho, são comparados dois procedimentos de obtenção da aditividade para componentes de biomassa individual de Quercus pyrenaica Willd., aplicados a um caso concreto. Verifica-se que a utilização de um processo de estimação simultânea de um sistema de equações, que impõe restrições na estimação dos parâmetros e considera a existência de correlação contemporânea entre os resíduos, permite obter parâmetros mais eficientes, de que resultam intervalos de predição de estimativas de biomassa mais consistentes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The biomass as a measure of the primary yield of forest ecosystems has had an increased interest, mainly with tree species in which their crown is an usable component. In total tree biomass estimations, it is important to consider the property of addition of the stem and crown biomass components. In this work, two procedures are compared that apply the summation factor between the biomass components of Quercus pyrenaica Willd. trees, as applied to a specific case. Results show that the use of a process of simultaneous estimates of a system of equations, which impose restrictions in the estimate of parameters and considers the existence of a simultaneous correlation between residuals, results in the derivation of more efficient parameters giving more consistent intervals in the prediction of biomass estimates.]]></p></abstract>

Dans l'estimation de la biomasse totale des arbres, il est important de considérer la propriété de l'additivité entre les composants du fût et du houppier. Dans cet article, deux procédures qui permettent l'additivité des composants de la biomasse des arbres de Quercus pyrenaica Willd. sont comparées, avec l'application dans un cas concret. L'estimation simultannée d'un système d'équations, ayant des restrictions de paramètres et considérant l'existence de corrélation contemporaine entre les erreurs des équations, permet d'obtenir des paramètres plus efficaces et des intervalles de prédictions plus consistantes.]]></p></abstract>
