Em particular, é focado todo o percurso de tratamento dos dados de inventário e SIG no processo de simulação e geração de alternativas de gestão e posterior análise por modelos de decisão. São descritas ainda as transformações de dados numéricos provenientes destes modelos, e a integração com a informação geográfica, para posterior entrada no visualizador. É exemplificado o uso deste visualizador ao Cantão das Hortas, uma área florestal com cerca de 460 ha situada no Perímetro Florestal da Lousã.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[This paper presents preliminary research results relating to the integration of a 3D forest landscape visualiser within a decision support system in natural resources management. It focus primarily on inventory and spatial data processing, to be used by a simulator and prescription writer for forest ecosystems. The data transformation path is followed up to the management models. It is also discussed the numerical data conversion process proceeding from these models and its geographic pre-processing so that it may be used as input to the 3D visualiser. The system is demonstrated by applying it to a forest area of 460 ha located in the mountain range Serra da Lousã in central Portugal.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Ce travail présente les résultats préliminaires de recherche favorisant la structuration d'information pour l'intégration d'un visualiseur interactif de paysages forestiers dans un système d'aide à la décision pour la gestion des ressources naturelles. Une particulière attention est portée à tout le passage du traitement des données d'inventaire et SIG dans le procédé de simulation et génération des simulations et analyse postérieure en utilisant des modèles de décision. Sont aussi décrites les transformations des données numériques provenant de ces modèles, et leur intégration avec l'information géographique, pour l'entrée postérieure dans le logiciel de visualisation. L'utilisation du système développé est démontrée pour le Cantão das Hortas, une région forestière de 460 ha, situé dans les montagnes de Lousã au centre de Portugal.]]></p></abstract>
