O seu campo de acção vai desde o tratamento à prevenção; do indivíduo à comunidade, e incluiu as metodologias de intervenção orientadas para a promoção de comunidades «competentes». Neste artigo procuramos referir, muito sucintamente, alguns dos contributos teóricos importantes para a Psicologia Comunitária.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Community Psychology is a branch of Applied Psychology and it is a recent area of investigation. Its development has been based on real situations from everyday life. The field of Community Psychology ranges from prevention to treatment. It includes the relationship between the individual and his community and the methodologies of intervention, in an attempt to promote «qualified» communities. Some of the most relevant theoretical works Community Psychology must consider are also mentioned in this article.]]></p></abstract>
