Um exemplo de influências do contexto sobre a saúde

RESUMO
Neste artigo, a partir do ponto de vista da psicologia da saúde, o autor procura caracterizar as situações de fragilidade social como situações de risco para a saúde, através das influência do estatuto socioeconómico, das diferenças de género, da diversidade cultural e da exposição ao stress. Considera que esta perspectiva, orientada para a promoção da saúde e prevenção das doenças, implica o desenvolvimento de intervenções destinadas a reduzir o stress em indivíduos em situação de fragilidade social, que complementam as medidas de reabilitação e inserção social.

In this paper, from the health psychology point of view, the author characterizes social weakness as a health risk situation, through the socio-economic status, gender differences, cultural diversity and stress exposition influences. An health psychology point of view, oriented to prevention and health promotion, involves stress reduction in individuals on social weakness, complementary to rehabilitation and social insertion mesures.
