A nossa amostra era composta por 1000 sujeitos, 506 do sexo feminino e 494 do sexo masculino, do ensino superior e secundário. Utilizamos um questionário (Cláudio, Gouveia Pereira, Robalo), composto por questões de associação livre, questões abertas e questões fechadas. Os resultados indicaram diferenças nas crenças e atitudes, perante o VIH /SIDA, entre os dois grupos. Propomos a elaboração de programas de prevenção diferenciados para cada um dos sexos, levando em conta as crenças e atitudes encontradas.]]></p></abstract>

Our sample was composed for 1000 students, 506 female and 494 male. We used a questionnaire (Cláudio, Gouveia Pereira, & Robalo) composed by three types of questions: free association, open and closed. The results indicate differences between the groups. We consider the elaboration of different prevention programs of each sex, leading account the specific beliefs and attitudes observed in our study.]]></p></abstract>
