O presente estudo desenvolve um questionário para avaliar o estilo de vida em áreas decisivas para uma boa saúde. O questionário inclui 28 itens distribuídos por categorias cinco categorias e é inspirado no questionário desenvolvido por Hettler em 1982. O questionário está organizado como uma lista de comportamentos (rating scale) em vez de como uma escala. Participaram no estudo 609 indivíduos saudáveis que constituíram uma amostra de conveniência, e que preencheram voluntariamente um questionário anónimo e confidencial. O estudo das qualidades do questionário enquanto medida mostram que possui propriedades adequadas enquanto medida de comportamentos relacionados com a saúde e com as doenças, é uma medida breve e útil para ser utilizada, quer em estudos de investigação quer de intervenção em programas de promoção da saúde ou de prevenção de doenças.]]></p></abstract>

The present study aims to develop a questionnaire to assess health behaviour or lifestyle related with good health. The questionnaire includes 28 items distributed trough five categories, inspired in the 1982 study of Hettler. The items constitute a list of behaviours (rating scale) and not a scale. Participants are a convenience sample of 609 healthy individuals, which fulfil the questionnaire voluntarily, in an anonymous and confidential way. The study of the questionnaire as a measure show that it constitutes a brief measure of health related behaviour useful to be used in research and programmes of health promotion and disease prevention.]]></p></abstract>
