A adaptação portuguesa do Life Values Inventory (LVI) foi aplicada a um grupo de 209 mulheres de grupos sócio-profissionais diferentes. Após uma síntese da revisão de literatura sobre os valores no desenvolvimento da carreira das mulheres é analisada a adequação do instrumento a este grupo específico pela análise da consistência interna, através do método alpha de Cronbach, e análise factorial. É ainda feita a análise da distribuição de resultados e análise de diferenças entre grupos definidos pelo estatuto sócio-profissional.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The present article focus on the evaluation of the values, central psychological dimension in the career development, namely with the presentation of the Life Values Inventory, a new instrument which the original version was developed at the USA by Crace and Brown (1996). The Portuguese adaptation of the Life Values Inventory, were administered to 209 adult females belonging to different social-occupational groups. Following a summary of the bibliography’s revision about the importance of the values in the career development in women, it is presented the analysis of the scores obtained with the Life Values Inventory: means and standard deviations; internal consistence coefficients, by the l’alpha of Cronbach method; factor analysis and groups differences analysis defined by occupational groups.]]></p></abstract>
