Para além das queixas orgânicas, os factores psicossociais inerentes ao envelhecimento constituem, muitas vezes, temas que estruturam muitos pedidos de ajuda. Os psicólogos que exercem nos contextos de saúde recebem, cada vez mais, solicitações de adultos seniores que se confrontam com sérias dificuldades adaptativas nesta etapa do ciclo vital. Desta forma, realizamos uma revisão da literatura dos principais modelos de intervenção psicoterapêutica para clientes na idade adulta avançada.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[The geriatric population represents an important group of patients that seek the health services. Besides the organic complaints, the inherent psychosocial factors of aging are also constituted as theme that structures many requests of help. The psychologists that work in the contexts of health receive, more and more, requests of senior adults that are confronted with serious difficulties in this stage of the vital cycle. This way, we accomplished a revision of the literature of the main models of psychotherapy intervention for customers in the old adult age.]]></p></abstract>
