Trichoderma spp. São importantes ferramentas no control biológico de fitopatogénios. Desta forma, o presente estudo teve como objetivo avaliar a eficiência de espécies de Trichoderma in vitro para antagonismo em relação aos patogénios Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum e Curvularia lunata. Para testar a ação de Trichoderma spp., foi usada a técnica de co-cultura, tendo sido avaliados a percentagem de colonização e de inibição segundo pontuação atribuída através duma escala adaptada. Para a avaliação de inibição por compostos voláteis foi usado o método de sobreposição de placas, tendo sido medido o diâmetro das colónias após sete dias. O delineamento experimental foi completamente aleatorizado em triplicados, tendo sido analisado num esquema fatorial 4x3, com quatro isolados e três patogénios. No estudo de inibição por compostos voláteis o isolado UFT-204 mostrou melhor eficiência no controlo dos patogénios. As colónias dos patogénios registaram um crescimento micelial de 74.7% para R. solani, 57.5% para F. oxysporum e 69% para or C. lunata. Na confrontação com F. oxysporum, o isolado UFT-205 de Trichoderma obteve o melhor resulta (80.8%) da percentagem de colonização. Na percentagem de inibição, os isolados de Trichoderma UFT-25 (87.0%), UFT-205 (85.3%) e UFT-57 (84.2%) apresentaram melhores médias. Para C. lunata, os isolados de Trichoderma UFT-25 (77%), UFT-205 (81.4%) e UFT-57 (76%) forneceram a maior percentagem de colonização. Na inibição, os isolados de Trichoderma UFT-25 (76.3%) e UFT-205 (80.7%) apresentaram melhores médias. R. solani não diferiu estatisticamente, obtendo uma percentagem de colonização de 68.8% a 76.7% e inibição de 76.7% a 84.6%.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Rhizoctonia, Fusarium, and Curvularia species are among the main fungi that cause disease in plants. Trichoderma spp. fungi are an important tool in the biological control of phytopathogens. As a result, the present study aimed to evaluate the efficiency of Trichoderma species in vitro antagonism for pathogens Rhizoctonia solani, Fusarium oxysporum, and Curvularia lunata. To test the action of Trichoderma spp. the colony matching technique was used and the percentage of colonization, inhibition, and scores assigned on an adapted scale were evaluated. For inhibition by volatile compounds, the plate overlap method was used and the colony diameter was measured after seven days. The experimental design was completely randomized in triplicate and analysed in a 4x3 factorial scheme, with 4 isolated and 3 pathogens. In the inhibition by volatile compounds, the UFT-204 isolate showed better efficiency in controlling pathogens. The colonies of the pathogens obtained mycelial growth of 74.7% for R. solani, 57.5% for F. oxysporum, and 69% for C. lunata. In the confrontation with F. oxysporum, the isolate Trichoderma UFT-205 obtained the best result (80.8%) in the percentage of colonization.
