Resumo
O tratamento da hepatite C consiste numa biterapia de interferão pegilado e ribavirina. Este tratamento acarreta efeitos secundários numerosos e pesados. Neste contexto, procurei avaliar que percepção de si e dos outros tem o doente, qual a influência da doença, do tratamento e da cura não só no seu quotidiano mas também na sua identidade enquanto doente. A investigação assenta em testemunhos em fóruns de discussão na internet e de entrevistas a alguns doentes encontrados a partir destes fóruns.

The Identity of The Patient With Cronic Hepatitis C
]]>Abstract
The treatment of hepatitis C consists of a bitherapy of pegylated interferon and ribavirin. This treatment causes numerous and strong side effects. In this context, I tried to evaluate the perception that the patient has of himself and of the others, the influence of the illness, of the treatment and the cure not only in his daily life but also in his identity as a patient. The investigation assembles on testimonies in internet discussion forums and interviews of patients found at these forums.
