Na busca de uma teoria científica de instrução reconheceu-se aos então novos "meios" tecnológicos a função de estimulação adicional e motivação dos alunos, desenvolvendo-se um enorme volume de investigação empírica analisando o papel dos "meios de ensino" no processo de ensino e aprendizagem. Neste artigo serão apresentados os pressupostos teóricos e metodológicos que fundamentaram a pesquisa empírica desenvolvida no âmbito da Tecnologia Educativa (TE) no período compreendido entre as décadas de 50 e 80; discutidos e questionados serão também os resultados obtidos, bem como as limitações de mais de duas décadas de pesquisa empírica que marcaram decisivamente o rumo da investigação neste jovem domínio científico.]]></p></abstract>

On the search for a scientific theory of instruction it was then recognised that new media could function as additional sources of stimulation and motivation to student learning process; based on those premises developped then an important volume of empirical research on learning with media. In this paper will be presented and analysed the theorical and methodological referentials of research in the field of Educational Technology under the behaviorism. Evidences of three decades of research that influenced the years to come for this young scientific domain in the social sciences will also be discussed and questioned.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Le processus d`enseignement et d`apprentissage dans les années 50 et 60 a éte influencé par le condutisme, théorie d`instruction selon laquelle l` apprentissage est comprise comme le refinement progressif des réponses des sujets à des stimulus extérieurs. Dans la poursuite d`une théorie scientifique de l'instruction on a reconnu aux nouveaux média tecnologiques la function de stimulation et motivation additionales des sujets, ce qui a produit le development d`un corpus de recherche sistematisée sur le rôle des technologies dans le processus instructif. Dans cet article on analysera les fondaments théoriques et méthodologiques de la recherche sur les média educatifs et on problematisera les résultas obtenus en trois décades de recherche éducative.]]></p></abstract>

Na busca de uma teoria cient&iacute;fica de instru&ccedil;&atilde;o reconheceu-se    aos ent&atilde;o novos &quot;meios&quot; tecnol&oacute;gicos a fun&ccedil;&atilde;o    de estimula&ccedil;&atilde;o adicional e motiva&ccedil;&atilde;o dos alunos,    desenvolvendo-se um enorme volume de investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o emp&iacute;rica    analisando o papel dos &quot;meios de ensino&quot; no processo de ensino e aprendizagem.
