No presente artigo, sistematizam-se as razões da falência do governo centralizado da educação, apontam-se as alternativas desenvolvidas para lhe fazer face (especialmente a Nova Gestão Pública) e analisa-se o modelo da organização em rede enquanto proposta para assegurar a governação dos assuntos educativos de uma forma mais eficaz. No artigo, propõe-se uma tipologia de redes assente em três vectores (génese, composição e estrutura) que visa permitir e sustentar uma crítica das visões normativas actualmente existentes sobre estas entidades na educação.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Today, educational practitioners, school leaders and policymakers confront themselves with the need to develop their action in a context increasingly framed by the absence of a single central regulating entity, and by the collective and interorganisational dimension of their activity. This article lists the reasons behind the failure of the centralised government of education, points to the alternatives that were developed to face its demise (especially, the New Public Management framework) and analyses the network organisation as a model proposed to ensure the more effective governance of educational matters. The article proposes a typology of networks based on three vectors (genesis, composition, and structure) that aims to enable and nourish a critique of normative views currently held about these entities in education.]]></p></abstract>

Cet article systématise les raisons qui expliquent la faillite du gouvernement centralisé de l’éducation, remarque les alternatives produites pou lui faire face (en particulier, le Nouveau Management Publique) et analyse le modèle de l’organisation en réseau comme propos pour assurer la gouvernance des affaires éducatives de façon plus efficace. Dans l’article, on propose une 180 Jorge Ávila de Lima typologie des réseaux fondée en trois vecteurs (genèse, composition et structure) qui vise permettre et nourrir une critique des visions normatives actuellement existantes sur cettes entités dans l‘éducation.]]></p></abstract>

No presente artigo, sistematizam-se    as raz&otilde;es da fal&ecirc;ncia do governo centralizado da educa&ccedil;&atilde;o,    apontam-se as alternativas desenvolvidas para lhe fazer face (especialmente    a Nova Gest&atilde;o P&uacute;blica) e analisa-se o modelo da organiza&ccedil;&atilde;o    em rede enquanto proposta para assegurar a governa&ccedil;&atilde;o dos assuntos    educativos de uma forma mais eficaz.
