Apesar do inegável contributo deste estatuto, são várias as fragilidades apontadas, questionando-se essencialmente a falta de apoios económicos e sociais. Contudo, a problematização do lugar dos processos, recursos e serviços educativos na vida dos/as cuidadores/as informais raramente tem sido abordada, apesar das evidentes necessidades de aprendizagem deste papel. Tendo por base uma análise reflexiva da primeira autora, enquanto entrevistadora de cuidadores/as informais de sobreviventes de AVC, pretende-se explorar o lugar e o papel da educação no Estatuto do Cuidador Informal, assim como as perceções de cuidadores/as acerca deste documento legal e dos seus processos de aprendizagem. Este trabalho evidencia o hiato entre o texto político e a realidade dos/as cuidadores/as, vertendo-se no desconhecimento acerca das medidas e serviços de apoio. Embora esteja previsto o direito à (in)formação, é relatada a escassez de recursos e serviços educativos. Assim, as aprendizagens acontecem num plano experiencial, de forma inconsciente, autónoma e pouco suportada, podendo contribuir para desigualdades no campo do cuidado. Considerando a centralidade das aprendizagens ao longo da trajetória do cuidado, assim como a sobrecarga física e emocional deste papel, é essencial que políticas e práticas suportem os processos de aprendizagem dos/as cuidadores/as e que contribuam para a sua literacia e consciência cívica.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT Although the consequences of unpaid social reproduction work have been discussed in recent years, it was only in 2019 that informal caregivers broke the &#8220;legal clandestineness&#8221; through the approval of the Informal Caregiver Statute. Despite the undeniable contribution of this statute, there are several weaknesses pointed out, essentially questioning the lack of economic and social support. However, the questioning of the place of educational processes, resources, and services in the lives of informal caregivers has rarely been addressed, despite the evident need of learning of this role. Based on a reflective analysis by the first author, as an interviewer of informal caregivers of stroke survivors, it is intended to explore the place and role of education in the Statute of the Informal Caregiver, as well as the perceptions of caregivers about this document and their learning processes. This work highlights the gap between the political text and the reality of caregivers, resulting in a lack of knowledge about support measures and services. Although the right to information and training is foreseen, the scarcity of educational resources and services is reported. Thus, learning takes place on an experiential level, unconsciously, autonomously, and poorly supported, which can contribute to inequalities in the field of care. Considering the centrality of learning along the trajectory of care, as well as the physical and emotional burden of this role, it is essential that policies and practices support the learning processes of caregivers and contribute to their literacy and civic awareness.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[RÉSUMÉ Bien que les conséquences du travail de reproduction sociale non rémunéré aient été débattu ces dernières années, ce n'est qu'en 2019 que les aidants proches ont brisé la « clandestinité légale » à travers l'approbation du Statut de l'aidant proche. Malgré l'apport indéniable de ce statut, plusieurs faiblesses sont relevées, interrogeant essentiellement sur le manque d'accompagnement économique et social. Cependant, le questionnement sur la place des processus, ressources et services éducatifs dans la vie des aidants proches a rarement été abordée, malgré les besoins évidents d'apprentissage dans ce domaine. Sur la base d'une analyse réflexive de la première auteure, en tant qu'intervieweuse d'aidants proches de personnes victimes d'un AVC, il s'agit d'explorer la place et le rôle de l'éducation dans le Statut de l'aidant proche, ainsi que les perceptions des aidants à propos de ce document, et ces processus d'apprentissage. Ce travail met en lumière le décalage entre le texte politique et la réalité des aidants, qui se traduit par une méconnaissance des mesures et services d'accompagnement. Bien que le droit à la (in)formation soit prévu, la rareté des ressources et des services éducatifs est signalée. Ainsi, l'apprentissage se fait sur un plan expérientiel, inconsciemment, de manière autonome et mal accompagnée, ce qui peut contribuer aux inégalités dans le domaine des soins. Compte tenu de la centralité de l'apprentissage tout au long du système de soin, ainsi que du fardeau physique et émotionnel engendrés par ce statut, il est essentiel que les politiques et les pratiques soutiennent les processus d'apprentissage des soignants et contribuent à leur alphabétisation et à leur conscience civique.]]></p></abstract>
