Começam, assim, a sobressair os conceitos de inter e transdisciplinaridade, como abordagens privilegiadas para uma integração curricular mais flexível e abrangente. A Unidade Curricular Ritmos e Cantares Tradicionais, do curso de Artes da Performance Cultural, promove a aquisição de competências que se evidenciam através da criação de projetos artísticos de natureza transdisciplinar, capazes de explorar e integrar as diversas áreas do saber. O presente artigo pretende divulgar um dos projetos desenvolvidos numa Instituição de Ensino Superior, refletindo acerca da relevância desta abordagem na formação dos estudantes. Reitera, em jeito de conclusão, que a conceção de projetos artísticos transdisciplinares, cuja concretização vai ainda mais além da visão interdisciplinar, potencia aprendizagens sustentadas abrangendo a complexidade das diferentes dimensões do conhecimento.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The education provided in primary, secondary and higher education schools has been assuming holistic contours, blurring the boundaries between traditionally compartmentalised knowledge. Therefore, the concepts of inter and transdisciplinarity are emerging as privileged approaches for a more flexible and comprehensive curricular integration. The Curricular Unit Rhythms and Traditional Songs, of the Cultural Performing Arts course, promotes the acquisition of skills that are evidenced through the creation of artistic projects of transdisciplinary nature, able to explore and integrate several areas of knowledge. The following article aims to present one of the projects carried out at a higher education institution, reflecting on the relevance of this approach in the students' education. It reiterates, by way of conclusion, that the conception of transdisciplinary artistic projects, whose implementation improve on the interdisciplinary approach, enhances sustained learning by covering the complexity of the different dimensions of knowledge.]]></p></abstract>
