Objetivos: Avaliar os conhecimentos dos agentes educativos sobre cidadania e igualdade de género em crianças e adolescentes.  Métodos: Estudo quantitativo, descritivo, transversal, realizado numa amostra não probabilística de conveniência, constituída por 136 participantes, professores (62,5%), enfermeiros (32,4%) e polícias (5,1%), com uma média de idades de 48,34 anos (±7,49 anos), sendo 70,6% do género feminino. Foi utilizado o questionário ad hoc, Cidadania e Igualdade de Género em Crianças e Adolescentes (CIG-CA) de Cunha (2017), constituído por 2 escalas, uma referente à educação e linguagem inclusiva e outra aos conhecimentos sobre cidadania e igualdade de género, tendo em conta dois fatores: tarefas domésticas e cuidar dos filhos.  Resultados:  Apurou-se que as percentagens mais elevadas correspondem aos participantes que referem ter conhecimento sobre cidadania e igualdade de género no que se refere à linguagem inclusiva (O Ser Humano 89.7% vs. O(A) Professor(a) 75,0%). Na globalidade, há uma prevalência de bons conhecimentos (40,4%), seguindo-se os razoáveis conhecimentos sobre cidadania e igualdade de género.  Conclusões:  Os resultados permitiram reconhecer um foco de interesse para a intervenção da enfermagem no âmbito do projecto MaiSaúdeMental, e para a definição de estratégias para a promoção da cidadania das crianças / adolescentes no contexto escolar e comunitário, mobilizando os recursos dos agentes educativos para uma inclusão mais efetiva.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract  Introduction:  The right to education for children / adolescents in relation to their preparation for the performance of citizenship is one of the objectives of inclusive education, which should promote respect for the dignity of children / adolescents, supporting them equally, regardless of their genre.  Objectives:  To evaluate the knowledge of educational agents about citizenship and gender equality in children and adolescents.  Methods:  A quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional study was carried out in a non-probabilistic convenience sample, comprising 136 participants, teachers (62.5%), nurses (32.4%) and police (5.1%), and a mean age of 48.34 years (± 7.49 years), being mostly female (70.6%). The "ad hoc&#8221; questionnaire Citizenship and Gender Equality in Children and Adolescents (CIG-CA)" of Cunha (2017) was used, consisting of 2 scales, one referring to education and inclusive language and another to knowledge about citizenship and equality taking into account two factors: household chores and childcare  Results:  The highest percentages were found to correspond to participants who reported having knowledge about citizenship and gender equality in terms of inclusive language (Human Being 89.7% vs. Professor 75.0%). Overall, there is a prevalence of good knowledge (40.4%), followed by moderate knowledge about citizenship and gender equality.  Conclusions:  The results made it possible to recognize a focus of interest for the intervention of nursing within the MaiSaúdeMental project, and for the definition of strategies for the promotion of citizenship of children / adolescents in the school and community context, mobilizing the resources of educational agents for a more inclusive effective.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Introducción:  El derecho a la educación de los niños / adolescentes en relación con su preparación para el desempeño de la ciudadanía es uno de los objetivos de la educación inclusiva, que debe promover el respeto por la dignidad de los niños / adolescentes, apoyándolos por igual, independientemente de su género.  Objetivos:  Evaluar el conocimiento de los agentes educativos sobre ciudadanía e igualdad de género en niños y adolescentes.  Métodos:  Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo, transversal, realizado en una muestra de conveniencia no probabilística, con 136 participantes, docentes (62.5%), enfermeras (32.4%) y policías (5.1%), con una edad media 48,34 años (± 7,49 años), siendo el 70,6% mujeres.  Se utilizó el cuestionario ad hoc, Ciudadanía e igualdad de género en niños y adolescentes (CIG-CA) de Cunha (2017), que consta de 2 escalas, una que se refiere a la educación y el lenguaje inclusivo y la otra al conocimiento sobre ciudadanía e igualdad de género, teniendo en cuenta dos factores: tareas domésticas y cuidado de niños.  Resultados:  Se encontró que los porcentajes más altos corresponden a participantes con conocimiento sobre ciudadanía e igualdad de género con respecto al lenguaje inclusivo (el ser humano 89.7% vs. el maestro 75.0%). En general, existe una prevalencia de buen conocimiento (40.4%), seguido de un conocimiento razonable sobre ciudadanía e igualdad de género.  Conclusiones:  Los resultados permitieron reconocer un foco de interés para la intervención de enfermería dentro del proyecto MaiSaúdeMental, y para la definición de estrategias para la promoción de la ciudadanía de niños / adolescentes en el contexto escolar y comunitario, movilizando los recursos de los agentes educativos para una inclusión más efectiva.]]></p></abstract>
