Objective: to identify customer satisfaction with the preoperative outpatient cataract surgery nursing consultation.  Methods: Quantitative, descriptive and exploratory study. The non-probabilistic convenience sample consisted of 348 clients who had a preoperative Nursing consultation and operated between January 1 and December 31, 2019. Data collection was carried out using a structured interview, by completing a form, Likert scale (via telephone).  Results: The results show an overall average for the questions asked, which is situated at 3.73, which represents a degree of satisfaction of 93.73%. In this way, the results demonstrate a degree of extreme satisfaction.  Conclusion: All the information transmitted to the client becomes extremely important, both pre- and post-operatively, to ensure the success of the surgery and contribute to customer satisfaction.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[Resumo  Introdução: O aumento da esperança média de vida da população portuguesa, leva ao aparecimento de cataratas e, consequentemente, à intervenção cirúrgica para a resolução deste problema.  Objetivo: identificar a satisfação do cliente com a consulta pré-operatória de enfermagem de cirurgia de catarata em regime de ambulatório.  Métodos:: Estudo quantitativo, descritivo e exploratório. A amostra não probabilística por conveniência constituída por 348 clientes que tiveram consulta de Enfermagem pré-operatória e operados entre 1 de Janeiro e 31 de Dezembro de 2019. A recolha de dados foi efetuada com recurso a entrevista estruturada, através do preenchimento de um formulário, escala tipo Likert (via telefone).  Resultados: Os resultados evidenciam uma média global nas questões colocadas que se situa nos 3.73, que representa um grau de satisfação de 93.73%. Desta forma, os resultados demonstram um grau de extrema satisfação.  Conclusão: Toda a informação transmitida ao cliente torna-se de extrema importância, quer no pré quer no pós-operatório, para garantir o sucesso da cirurgia e contribuir para a satisfação dos clientes.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen  Introducción: El aumento de la esperanza media de vida de la población portuguesa conduce a la aparición de cataratas y, en consecuencia, a la intervención quirúrgica para solucionar este problema.  Objetivo:  identificar la satisfacción del cliente con la consulta de enfermería de cirugía de catarata ambulatoria.  Métodos: Estudio cuantitativo, descriptivo y exploratorio. La muestra no probabilística por conveniencia estuvo conformada por 348 clientes que tuvieron una consulta preoperatoria de Enfermería y fueron operados entre el 1 de enero y el 31 de diciembre de 2019. La recolección de datos se realizó mediante entrevista estructurada, mediante el llenado de un formulario, escala de Likert (vía telefónica).  Resultados: Los resultados muestran una media global de las preguntas realizadas que se sitúa en 3,73, lo que representa un grado de satisfacción del 93,73%. De esta forma, los resultados demuestran un grado de extrema satisfacción.  Conclusión: Toda la información transmitida al cliente se vuelve sumamente importante, tanto en el pre como en el postoperatorio, para asegurar el éxito de la cirugía y contribuir a la satisfacción del cliente.]]></p></abstract>
