Serão analisadas obras da artista brasileira Panmela Castro, a intervenção Zapatos Rojos da artista mexicana Elina Chauvet, e o REDress Project idealizado pela artista Jamie Black no Canadá. A análise parte das reflexões de Hirsch e Smith (2002) sobre feminismo, memória cultural e pós-memória, em diálogo com o conceito de femigenocídio cunhado por Rita Segato, também dialogando com reflexões sobre memória e sensibilização a partir de Laurie Clark e Diana Taylor, demonstrando como a produção artística aqui discutida está alinhada com iniciativas comunitárias mais amplas de produção de memória sobre o feminicídio e a violência de gênero.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The aim of this text is to discuss feminist art practices about femicide in the American continent. We will analyze works by Brazilian artist Panmela Castro, the Zapatos Rojos intervention by Mexican artist Elina Chauvet, and the REDress Project created by Jamie Black in Canada. The analysis has its starting point in the reflections of Hirsch and Smith (2002) on feminism, cultural memory and postmemory in dialogue with the concept of femigenocide coined by Rita Segato, also dialoguing with Laurie Clark and Diana Taylor&#8217;s reflections on memory and sensitization , demonstrating how the art production discussed here is aligned with broader community initiatives of memory production about feminicide and gender violence.]]></p></abstract>
