</abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en">
Abstract This essay offers an ecological and ecofeminist reading of Maria Teresa Horta’s poetry, arguing that her struggle for women’s emancipation is deeply intertwined with ecological awareness. Nature appears not as backdrop but as active force and ally, a metaphor for embodied and cosmic resistance. Linked to the female body as memory and regeneration, it frames the body as political and ecological territory, where domination and renewal coexist within a horizon of care, reciprocity, and life’s continuity.
</abstract>
