</abstract>

We discuss the concept of Coping and Mental Adjustment involved in the Mini-MAC scale and we study its relation with an outcome measure, the quality of life (DDV), using the Functional Assessment Cancer Therapy C and B. The relationship between dimensions of Mini-MAC and QDV are but varying in function of the cancer. The relationship between the dimensions Anxious Preoccupation and Helpless/Hopeless and the emotional dimension of the QDV scale, do not clarify the question if Mini-MAC scale is a measure of coping or a measure of adjustment.
