Foi realizada uma pesquisa na Biblioteca do Conhecimento Online (B-ON) e na Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde (BVS) com a seguinte frase booleana: TI (questionnaire or survey or scale or instrument or measurement or measure or evaluation or asses* or inventory or rate or ratting or apprais*) AND TI (sense of humor or humor or humour or comedy or laughter or jokes or wit or cheerfulness or playfulness) NOT (“aqueous humour” or “vitreous humour” or “aqueous humor” or “vitreous humor” or “humor aqueous” or “humor vitreous” or “humour aqueous” or “humour vitreous”).
</abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en">
Abstract The present literature review aimed to identify and characterize the sense of humor assessment instruments developed between 2010 and 2020. A search was conducted in the Online Knowledge Library (B-ON) and the Virtual Health Library (BVS) with the following boolean phrase: TI (questionnaire or survey or scale or instrument or measurement or measure or evaluation or asses* or inventory or rate or ratting or apprais*) AND TI (sense of humor or humor or humour or comedy or laughter or jokes or wit or cheerfulness or playfulness) NOT ("aqueous humour" or "vitreous humour" or "aqueous humor" or "vitreous humor" or "humor aqueous" or "humor vitreous" or "humour aqueous" or "humour vitreous"). Thirty-nine articles were selected for analysis. It was found that humor has been evaluated either from a multidimensional perspective or considering isolated aspects, such as playfulness and laughter. More recently, this evaluation has been extended to include humor forms or styles. Finally, humor has also been assessed as a skill and as a personality trait. The use of these instruments has proven useful in enhancing the use of a sense of humor as a strength that can be promoted through intervention programs.
</abstract>
