O trabalho foi assente em estudos de caso de 33 empresas constituídas no seio de estruturas de incubação, uma metodologia essencial para uma análise longitudinal dos processos de formatação da oportunidade e constituição da empresa. A evidência dos estudos de caso apoia a hipótese de que o empreendedorismo pode ser pensado como um fenómeno colectivo, ao mesmo tempo que reforça a importância do capital humano, através das qualificações académicas e da experiência profissional das equipas empreendedoras. Concomitantemente, os casos analisados sugerem a relevância das redes sociais no processo empreendedor, seja na obtenção de financiamento, angariação de parcerias, clientes, fornecedores ou colaboradores, ou como fonte de credibilização e legitimação do negócio.]]></p></abstract>

This work is based on 33 case studies of firms created in incubators, a method indicated for a longitudinal analysis about the processes of opportunity framing and firm creation. The evidence collected in case studies support the hypothesis that entrepreneurship can be understood as a collective phenomenon. Additionally, academic qualifications as well as work experience are fundamental resources in entrepreneurial teams, reinforcing the relevance of human capital. Social capital is also essential and is used by entrepreneurs for different purposes, such as access to finance, to partners and workers, as well as to clients and credibility.]]></p></abstract>

La evidencia de los estudios del caso, soporta la hipótesis que el emprendedorismo puede ser pensado como un fenómeno colectivo, al mismo tiempo que fortalece la importancia del capital humano, a través de las calificaciones académicas y de la experiencia profesional de las equipas emprendedoras. En su todo, los casos analizados sugieren que las redes sociales tiene un papel relevante en el proceso emprendedor, ya sea en la búsqueda de financiación, socios de negocio, clientes, proveedores, colaboradores o como fuente de credibilidad para el negocio.]]></p></abstract>

O trabalho foi assente em estudos de caso de 33 empresas constitu&iacute;das    no seio de estruturas de incuba&ccedil;&atilde;o, uma metodologia essencial    para uma an&aacute;lise longitudinal dos processos de formata&ccedil;&atilde;o    da oportunidade e constitui&ccedil;&atilde;o da empresa. Licenciada em Economia e Mestre em Economia com especializa&ccedil;&atilde;o    em Finan&ccedil;as P&uacute;blicas, centrando-se os seus interesses de investiga&ccedil;&atilde;o    no empreendedorismo e na &aacute;rea da economia e finan&ccedil;as p&uacute;blicas,    possuindo diversas publica&ccedil;&otilde;es em actas de confer&ecirc;ncias    cient&iacute;ficas.</p>        <p>Assistant in the Economics and Management Department in the College of Business    Administration of the Polytechnic Institute of Set&uacute;bal, where she has    taught Economics, International Economics and Entrepreneurship. Graduated in    Economics and MsC Economics by ISEG, her main research interests are entrepreneurship    and public choice, in which the author has several publications in scientific    conferences procedures.</p>        <p>Asistente en el Departamento de Econom&iacute;a y Gesti&oacute;n de la Escola    Superior de Ci&ecirc;ncias Empresariais do Instituto Polit&eacute;cnico de Set&uacute;bal,    desde 2002, dondeha impartido Econom&iacute;a, Econom&iacute;a Internacional    e Emprendedorismo.
