Duarte</p>     <p>&nbsp;</p>     <p>O presente trabalho pretende tra&ccedil;ar um perfil sobre o interesse e o    desinteresse de alunos adolescentes, entre a faixa et&aacute;ria de 11 a 16    anos de idade, com rela&ccedil;&atilde;o a leitura. Num primeiro momento, buscamos    conhecer as representa&ccedil;&otilde;es b&aacute;sicas que orientam o imagin&aacute;rio    desses indiv&iacute;duos sobre esta quest&atilde;o, em seguida, como eles a    percebem na escola e fora dela, mais especificamente na fam&iacute;lia.</p>       <p>Levantamos as representa&ccedil;&otilde;es e experi&ecirc;ncias de leitura desenvolvidas    por 171 (cento e setenta e um) estudantes do Ensino Fundamental, de 5&ordf;    &agrave; 8&ordf; s&eacute;rie, de uma escola pertencente &agrave; rede p&uacute;blica    de ensino, assim nomeada: Col&eacute;gio Estadual &ldquo;Alvamir Faria dos Anjos&rdquo;,    localizado em Nova Am&eacute;rica, interior do Estado de Goi&aacute;s. Nesta    pesquisa, procuramos levantar, tamb&eacute;m o entendimento que esses adolescentes    t&ecirc;m sobre a situa&ccedil;&atilde;o desta leitura que lhes &eacute; atribu&iacute;da    em seu quotidiano, especialmente no que diz respeito aos fatos que provocam    o desinteresse e os que mant&ecirc;m o interesse.</p>     <p>&Eacute; preciso reconhecer que o material emp&iacute;rico analisado permitiu-nos    contribuir para o desvelo de problemas, distor&ccedil;&otilde;es e avan&ccedil;os    no panorama em que a leitura est&aacute; inserida. Aumentou o conhecimento sobre    a vida cultural desses adolescentes, sobre a escola p&uacute;blica que frequentam    e sobre a realidade familiar que muito contribuiu para ilustrar este estudo.</p>     <p>Finalmente, a pesquisa procurou captar uma realidade localizada, n&atilde;o    uma mera idealiza&ccedil;&atilde;o ou mesmo uma determinada pratica que estava    a acontecer, com todas as suas contradi&ccedil;&otilde;es e imperfei&ccedil;&otilde;es,    mas tamb&eacute;m com seus pontos positivos dentro de suas restri&ccedil;&otilde;es    que necessitam mais investigac&atilde;o. Esperamos que seja uma luz que venha    clarear facetas ainda bastante obscuras sobre o processo de leitura de adolescentes.</p>     ]]></body>
<body><![CDATA[<p>&nbsp;</p>     <p>&nbsp;</p>     <p><I>The present work intends to draw a profile about the interest and the    adolescent students&rsquo; indifference, among the age group from 11    to 16 years, regarding the reading. In a first moment,    we looked for to know the basic representations that guide the    imaginary of these individuals about this question; afterwards, like    they notice it in the school and out of its, more specifically    in the family. </I></p>     <p><I>We lifted the representations and reading&rsquo;s experiences developed    by 171(one hundred and seventy-one) students of the Fundamental Teaching,    from 5</I><Sup><I>th</I></Sup><I>    to 8th grades, of a school belonging to the public net of teaching,    so nominated: &ldquo;Col&eacute;gio Estadual Alvamir Faria dos    Anjos&rdquo;, located in Nova America, interior of Goi&aacute;s State,    Brasil. In this research, we tried to find out, also, the understanding    that these adolescents have about the situation of this reading that    is attributed to them in their daily, especially in what concerns    to the facts that provoke the indifference and the ones that maintain    the interest. </I></p>      <p><I>It is necessary to recognize that the empiric material analyzed allowed    us to contribute to the revelation of problems, distortions and progresses    in the panorama in that the reading is inserted. It increased the knowledge    about these adolescents&rsquo; cultural life, on the public school    that they frequent and about the family reality that a lot contributed    to illustrate this study. </I></p>     <p><I>Finally, the research tried to capture a located reality, no a mere    idealization or even a </I></p>     <p><I>certain practice that was happening, with all their contradictions    and imperfections, but also with their positive points inside of their    restrictions that need more examination. We hope it is    a light that comes to clear facets still quite obscure on the process    of adolescents reading.</I></p>     <p>&nbsp;</p>       ]]></body>
