Cf. BROOKS, Stephen G., e WOHLFORTH, William C. – World Out of Balance: International Relations and the Challenge of American Primacy. Vancouver: Human Security Center, The University of British Columbia, 2005.

Cf. NYE Jr., Joseph S. – The Paradox of American Power: Why the World’s Only Superpower Can’t Go It Alone. Vol. 3, N.º 3, 2005. Cf. CRONIN, Bruce – «The paradox of hegemony: America’s ambiguous relationship with the United Nations». In European Journal of International Relations.
