This literature mentions not only the existence of such a domain but focuses on characterizing some of the aspects of its functioning, whether its non-military nature, or its “civil/normative” or “geoeconomic” character of this predominance. The aim of this article is to “take a step back” and reflect on how to classify the nature of Germany’s power in these crises and therefore within the European Union as a whole; namely to reflect on its classification by various authors as the hegemonic power of Europe.
</abstract>
