Tanto a violência de género (violação) como a fome têm sido utilizadas enquanto táticas de guerra. Os civis permanecem na linha da frente para garantir que a ajuda mínima chegue a quem dela precisa, enquanto os beligerantes impuseram um bloqueio à assistência humanitária. Face ao prolongamento da guerra desde abril de 2023, o presente artigo visa compreender o atual dilema e os possíveis cenários para um Sudão pós-guerra, com a necessidade de inclusão de civis nas iniciativas de negociação de paz e, uma vez a guerra terminada, à frente dos destinos do Estado.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract In the ongoing civil war in Sudan (2023-), the belligerents have resisted mediation initiatives, and the mediators initially failed to include representatives of civil society, including women. Both rape and famine have been used as weapons of war. Civilians, including women, have been at the forefront of ensuring that minimal assistance reaches those in need while the belligerents have imposed a blockade on humanitarian aid. Given the protracted nature of the war since April 2023, this article aims to understand the current dilemma and possible scenarios for a post-war Sudan, with civilians at the forefront of the state.]]></p></abstract>
