Uma questão sempre atual para a ergonomia&#8221;, que foi apresentada em 2001 durante as jornadas temáticas consagradas à obra de Alain Wisner. Seu objetivo é especificar três aspetos: o contexto sociodemográfico no qual esta reflexão foi publicada, com o aumento dos fatores de diversidade na população trabalhadora; a estruturação institucional da pesquisa sobre tal tema na França daquele período, em particular a criação, dez anos antes, do grupo de pesquisa Creapt, que oferecia novas possibilidades de parceria durável entre empresas e órgãos de pesquisa; e as preocupações científicas, epistemológicas e mesmo éticas que Laville há muito vinha desenvolvendo a esse respeito e que considerava importante apresentar, na perspetiva de integrar a análise da diversidade em uma abordagem da ergonomia, alternativa às políticas de seleção.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen Este artículo propone un comentario introductorio a una presentación de Antoine Laville titulada "¿A qué hombre debe adaptarse el trabajo? Una pregunta que sigue siendo relevante para la ergonomía", y planteada en el 2001 durante una jornada temática dedicada a la obra de Alain Wisner. El artículo busca aclarar tres elementos: el contexto sociodemográfico en el que se publicó esta reflexión, con el aumento de los factores de diversidad en la población activa; la estructuración institucional de la investigación sobre este tema en Francia en esa época, en particular la creación, diez años antes, del grupo de investigación Creapt, que ofrecía nuevas posibilidades de colaboración duradera entre empresas y organismos de investigación; y las preocupaciones científicas, epistemológicas e incluso éticas que Laville abordó durante mucho tiempo y consideró importante explicitar, con el fin de integrar el análisis de la diversidad en una intervención ergonómica, como alternativa a considerar en las políticas de selección.]]></p></abstract>

Une question toujours actuelle pour l&#8217;ergonomie », et prononcé en 2001 lors de journées thématiques consacrées à l&#8217;&#339;uvre d&#8217;Alain Wisner. La note vise à préciser trois éléments : le contexte sociodémographique dans lequel cette réflexion a été publiée, avec l&#8217;accroissement des facteurs de diversité dans la population au travail ; la structuration institutionnelle de la recherche sur ce thème en France à cette période, notamment la création, dix ans auparavant, du groupement de recherche Creapt, offrant de nouvelles possibilités de partenariat durable entre entreprises et organismes de recherche ; et les préoccupations scientifiques, épistémologiques voire éthiques, que Laville avait développées de longue date et qu&#8217;il a jugé alors important d&#8217;expliciter, dans la perspective d&#8217;intégrer l&#8217;analyse de la diversité dans une démarche ergonomique, alternative aux politiques de sélection.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract This article introduces and comments on a presentation made by Antoine Laville, in 2001, in the framework of a scientific meeting about Alain Wisner&#8217;s works. His presentation was entitled: &#8220;To which human being has work to be adapted? A question which remains relevant for ergonomists&#8221;. The present article aims to enlighten three elements: sociodemographic context at the period when the paper was published, with an increase of diversity factors inside active population; institutional structuration of research on these issues in France, namely the setting up of the scientific network Creapt, offering new possibilities for lasting partnership between companies and research organisms; and several scientific, epistemological and ethical concerns which Laville had developed for a long time, and which he chose to elicit at that moment, with the prospect of integrating analysis of diversity into ergonomics, as an alternative to selection policies.]]></p></abstract>
