Abordam-se as repercussões do gerenciamento algorítmico gamificado nos processos de subjetivação do trabalho de entregadores e motoristas e formas de resistência destes a este gerenciamento. A Ergologia oferece uma contribuição teórico-metodológica importante ao abordar o trabalho como atividade humana, enfatizando os saberes e valores em jogo. Essa contribuição foi articulada com outras referências teóricas sobre o processo de trabalho. O método envolveu a realização de entrevistas semiestruturadas e Encontros Sobre o Trabalho com trabalhadores de diferentes estados do país. Os resultados indicam que a tendência ao consentimento por parte dos trabalhadores às condições e regras impostas pelas plataformas digitais deve ser compreendido no contexto do mercado de trabalho marcado por altos índices de desemprego, informalidade e precariedade. A vulnerabilidade social, somada aos efeitos individualizantes desse sistema de gerenciamento, leva os sujeitos a priorizar a busca de suportes materiais e simbólicos para garantir sua existência, mesmo que isso implique em abrir mão de seu descanso, lazer, saúde e segurança. Para suportar o sofrimento, constroem estratégias de defesa que podem também configurar-se como movimentos promotores de saúde, via ações de resistência individual e coletiva. Dentre as ações estão a observação e o estudo do funcionamento dos algoritmos, assim como a constituição de uma aliança nacional de trabalhadores que integra diversas entidades e coletivos organizados do país na luta contra a precarização do trabalho.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract The article examines the organisational and management model adopted by companies that control on-demand digital labour-platforms in Brazil. It analyses the impact of gamified algorithmic management on the processes of labour subjectivation of delivery workers and drivers, as well as their forms of resistance to this management. Ergology offers a relevant theoretical and methodological contribution by conceptualizing work as a human activity, in which knowledge and values are at stake. This contribution was articulated with other theoretical perspectives on the work process. The method involved conducting semi-structured interviews and Work Encounters with workers from different states of the country. The results indicate that workers&#8217; tendency to consent to the conditions and rules imposed by digital platforms must be understood in the context of a labour market characterised by high levels of unemployment, informality and precariousness. The social vulnerability, coupled with the individualising effects of this management system, leads them to prioritise the search for material and symbolic support to guarantee their existence, even if this means giving up their rest, leisure, health and safety. In order to endure suffering, they develop defence strategies that can also be health-promoting movements, involving individual and collective forms of resistance. These strategies include observing and studying how the algorithm operates, as well as the formation of a national workers&#8217; alliance that integrates various entities and collectives organized in the country in the fight against the precariousness of work.]]></p></abstract>
