<self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.pt/scielo.php?script=sci_arttext&amp;pid=S2182-12672022000200160&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.pt/scielo.php?script=sci_abstract&amp;pid=S2182-12672022000200160&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><self-uri xlink:href="http://scielo.pt/scielo.php?script=sci_pdf&amp;pid=S2182-12672022000200160&amp;lng=en&amp;nrm=iso"></self-uri><abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="pt"><p><![CDATA[RESUMO O artigo tem como objetivo analisar as transformações na cobertura da terra na raia divisória São Paulo/Paraná/Mato Grosso do Sul depois da formação dos lagos para a geração de energia das usinas hidrelétricas, considerando-se os anos de 2001 e 2021, além de verificar como as transformações na paisagem interferiram na cobertura vegetal e nas temperaturas superficiais. Para isso, foram utilizadas imagens dos satélites Landsat 7 e 8 e gerados mapas de cobertura da terra, de NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) e das temperaturas superficiais, com o propósito de analisar a interferência da vegetação nas temperaturas dos alvos. Foram escolhidas, dentre as imagens disponíveis, àquelas que se apresentaram adequadas a este tipo de estudo (sem cobertura de nuvens), em dias representativos da estação seca tomadas em 3 de agosto de 2001 e em 18 de agosto de 2021 e da estação chuvosa de 7 de fevereiro de 2021. Os resultados mostraram que mesmo com as pequenas transformações na cobertura da terra no período de 2001 a 2021 a diminuição do vigor vegetativo, comprovada pelo NDVI, no período seco, resultou no aumento das áreas com temperaturas dos alvos mais elevadas. Também mostrou que a variabilidade espacial das temperaturas superficiais na Raia divisória São Paulo-Paraná-Mato Grosso do Sul, não dependem apenas das transformações na paisagem, mas estão diretamente relacionadas com os tipos de tempo que proporcionam maiores ou menores totais de precipitação no período que antecede a tomada das imagens. Deste modo, comprovou-se que alterações da cobertura da terra, sozinha não respondem a variabilidade e intensidade das temperaturas superficiais.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[ABSTRACT The purpose of this article is to analyze the changes in land cover in the São Paulo-Paraná-Mato Grosso do Sul dividing line following the formation of lakes for the generation of energy from hydropower plants, considering the years 2001 and 2021, in addition to verify how the transformations in the landscape affected the vegetation cover and surface temperatures. To do this, images from the Landsat 7 and 8 satellites were used, as well as maps of land cover, and NDVI (Normalized Difference Vegetation Index) and surface temperatures were generated in order to analyze vegetation interference on the target temperatures. Among the available images, those that were suitable for this type of study (without cloud cover) were chosen on representative days of the dry season, taken on August 3, 2001, and on August 18, 2021, as well as of the rainy season, taken on February 7, 2021. The results showed that, even with minor changes in land cover in the period from 2001 to 2021, the decrease in vegetative vigor, as confirmed by the NDVI, in the dry period resulted in an increase in areas with higher target temperatures. It also showed that the spatial variability of surface temperatures in the São Paulo-Paraná-Mato Grosso do Sul dividing line does not depend solely on the transformations in the landscape but is rather directly related to the types of weather that provide greater or lesser precipitation totals in the period prior to the obtaining of the images. Therefore, it was demonstrated that changes in land cover alone do not respond to the variability and intensity of surface temperatures.]]></p></abstract>
