A aprendizagem da língua portuguesa tem sido sinónimo de competitividade e empregabilidade para os estudantes de Português presentes em mais de meia centena de instituições de ensino superior dispersas pelas diversas regiões da China. Devido ao célere crescimento do ensino e à extensão territorial, existem particularidades do PLE na China que carecem ainda de uma análise minuciosa e descritiva. Neste âmbito, este artigo tem como principal objetivo compreender o perfil e as características dos professores portugueses na China continental. Através do recurso a questionários dirigidos aos docentes, as principais conclusões deste estudo permitem compreender aspetos como a dimensão quantitativa, a formação académica e profissional, a distribuição geográfica ou a presente situação laboral destes professores, afetada, em muitos casos, pelos efeitos da pandemia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="en"><p><![CDATA[Abstract Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PFL) teaching has flourished in Chinese territory due to the deepening of socio-economic and diplomatic relations with Portuguese-speaking countries. Learning Portuguese has been synonymous with competitiveness and employability for students learning Portuguese in more than fifty higher education institutions across China. Due to the rapid growth of the teaching of Portuguese and the territorial extension, there are particularities of PFL in China that still lack a detailed and descriptive analysis. In this context, this article aims to understand the profile of Portuguese teachers in mainland China. Based on questionnaires to lecturers, the main findings of this study reveal aspects such as the quantitative dimension, academic, and professional training, geographical distribution, or the current employment situation of these lecturers, affected, in many cases, by the effects of the pandemic.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="es"><p><![CDATA[Resumen La enseñanza de Portugués como Lengua Extranjera ha prosperado en territorio chino debido a la profundización de las relaciones socioeconómicas y diplomáticas con los países de habla portuguesa. Aprender el idioma portugués ha sido sinónimo de competitividad y empleabilidad para los estudiantes portugueses presentes en más de cincuenta instituciones de educación superior repartidas por diferentes regiones de China. Por el rápido crecimiento de la enseñanza y la extensión territorial, existen particularidades del PLE en China que aún carecen de un análisis detallado y descriptivo. En este contexto, este artículo tiene como objetivo comprender el perfil y las características de los profesores de portugués en China continental. Mediante el uso de cuestionarios dirigidos a los docentes, las principales conclusiones de este estudio permiten comprender aspectos como la dimensión cuantitativa, la formación académica y profesional, la distribución geográfica o la situación laboral actual de estos docentes, afectados, en muchos casos, por los efectos de la pandemia.]]></p></abstract>
<abstract abstract-type="short" xml:lang="fr"><p><![CDATA[Résumé L'enseignement du portugais comme langue étrangère a prospéré sur le territoire chinois grâce à l'approfondissement des relations socio-économiques et diplomatiques avec les pays lusophones. Apprendre la langue portugaise a été synonyme de compétitivité et d'employabilité pour les étudiants portugais présents dans plus de cinquante établissements d'enseignement supérieur répartis dans différentes régions de Chine. En raison de la croissance rapide de l'éducation et de l'extension territoriale, il y a des particularités du PLE en Chine qui manquent encore d'une analyse détaillée et descriptive. Dans ce contexte, cet article vise à comprendre le profil et les caractéristiques des enseignants portugais en Chine continentale. A travers l'utilisation de questionnaires destinés aux enseignants, les principales conclusions de cette étude nous permettent de comprendre des aspects tels que la dimension quantitative, la formation académique et professionnelle, la répartition géographique ou la situation actuelle de l'emploi de ces enseignants, affectés, dans de nombreux cas, par les effets de la pandémie.]]></p></abstract>
